I need help with a Halloween Themed Forum Contest? I help run a forum, and on it we always celebrate halloween. One way is with games and activities the users can enjoy and win special prizes from. Only this year we don't want the same games we've been playing for the past 2 years and would like something new. I need your help to give me some ideas for a special halloween contest that forum users can participate in. Our forum is mostly about art, so something related would be awesome. Bush is a war criminal. 7. The Iraq war was wrong. That pretty much sums up all of the questions in this forum except for the personal attacks between individual members that are thinly veiled as questions. Is there anything that could possibly be said on these over-beaten topics that hasn't been said yet? What's your list?

How do you make a Forum Site more active and well known? I've created a small community site. It's forum based. Thing is, it's quite lonely, mostly because there isn't any way for online users to find it and the users who have joined tend to forget about it and disappear... How Can I Change The Colour Theme of My SMF Forum? I have an SMF (Simple Machines Forum) at www.trueghoststories.co.uk. However, I want to change the colours to make it fit in more with the black and green colours of my site. However, the Admin Panel of my SMF forum does not have the colours I want, and I don't know where to find such a template. Neither do I know how to install it without tinkering around with the code. How can we get more people onto our web forum? We have a small web forum which has been up and running for several years now, and it always had a rather small group of regular users, but was still quite a busy site, but now the numbers are dropping off more and more and we can't seem to keep anyone interested. How do you get members to join your forum? I have a forum called the Hogwarts Four, which is Harry Potter themed. It is set in the future and i have been advertising, but not many people are joining. I can't advertise some places due to the rating of the forum (most want PG13, mine is PG18+). I can't take out the rating, otherwise I would have to change the entire plot. I offer a wide variety of options for members, such as choosing which house they're in, if they're an adult character which job they want, races are open, shops, contests, member/character of the week, graphics area, a talking area... Topsites, I've joined, but I have so few members that I'm not high on the listing. What else could I do to encourage members to join? Any suggestions would be a great help. Do you know a forum/website to seriously discuss and review books? I like reading books (novels, nonfiction, etc.) but often I want to talk about a book I have just read. Discuss stuff, reviews, ideas, characters, or look for more books of similar theme. It's not possible to do this in my friend circle as not many people read books, that too regularly, and then not same as mine. I could write on my blog but that is not what I enjoy. Further, to gather large crowd to blog is not easy, time consuming, and even then mostly one way communication. What I am looking for is something like a forum or website where people gather to talk about books seriously, and rate, review, comment etc. Somewhere where I can find people who like my types of books and we feed on each other to recommend. What is a good and easy to make/use free forum? I'm looking to make a forum for a writing group that I have. I tried several sites which look, at first glance, amazing. They are filled with features and so on... and bloody difficult to near impossible to figure out and use. Plus, I don't think they actually have some features I want, such as when you sign up and edit profile you can go to a drop down menu of the different themes of the forum, and pick one. Also, they say it is 'intuitive' to use but I have spent almost two days trying to figure this stuff out! And I'm not daft or anything. I've made forums before, but NOW they've changed them to make them all new and 'improved' which really means more complex and fancy looking... but hard to make. Can anyone suggest a good and easy to make free forum? One where you can easily create a theme, or several, and have them all as options for people signing up? I'm good with the creative part of things, so that's why that customization is important to me.

Need my 14 yr old to work to the best of her ability/ Take pride in work? I am very new to the forum and I was hoping someone could help me. I am at a loss on how to get my Teen Daughter to take pride in her work and work to the best of her ability. She seems to give the minumum effort to her projects and it is a huge frustration to myself and the other moms in our Home School co-op. I know she can do the work, I have seen good things every once in a while. But if it is something she doesn't particularly like she won't give it any effort at all. In the real world and closer yet, it college, she will be asked to do projects and reports on themes she doesn't particularly like. I feel it is important for her to understand that she needs to give her best effort in all circumstances. Any help would be appreciated!

What are the names of some very good, meaningful rap songs? Not all of them are this way, but most of the rap songs I hear nowadays have to do with money, sex, or violence, and I just want to know if anyone on this forum knows of any rap artists or songs that differ from these themes. I've heard of Faith Evans, but I think she's more in the R&B genre, if I remember correctly. I like the musical quality of rap, the way the words can roll off a person's tongue (it's kind of like poetry), but I don't much care for the above mentioned subjects. looking for religion forum? I do enjoy R&S but do not like being limited to simple Q&A as it makes actual debating difficult. I love debating religion and would like to find a forum that is open to disccusion and debate on ALL world religions old and new. I've done some searching on my own and find that most religion based forums tend to be either focused on one religion in particular or those that claim to be for all religions are dominated by christians and athiests or be dominated by a Christian theme. I would like to know if any of you know of a forum that is open for debate on all religions and is a little more balanced in terms of what religions are discussed. How do I add a logout button for vbulletin outside vbulletin? I've added a login bar to my vbulletin forum on pages outside of the forum. Logging in and everything works fine except for the logout button/ link. I'm pretty sure the problem is that I can't get the right hash for everyone who tries to logout. I see the code in the theme for logging out but i'm pretty sure it won't work because there are some other includes/ files i need for it to understand what to do. Any ideas?
